An Exercise in Consistency

Over the past couple of years, I’ve had an ongoing partnership with the Center for Academic Faithfulness & Flourishing (CAFF), a relatively new organization dedicated to supporting Christian colleges and universities in a variety of ways.

After developing the brand identity, I’ve continued to collaborate with CAFF on a series of long-form academic papers, including the most recent research report, Christian College Market Profile 2025.

The design for these publications is intentionally minimal and classic—easy to read and instantly recognizable to scholars as academic works. I share these not because they’re exciting designs—or even my best work—but because they represent an important exercise in consistency. Every detail matters, from the headline treatment down to the footer text styles.

As a creative who constantly likes to tinker, showing restraint is key on projects like this. It’s about creating a solid visual and text framework and sticking with it—issue in, issue out.
