Swissted: Recommended “Read”

I’ve been leaning into my love for Swiss Style lately (as evidenced by my site.) It’s the style every design major falls for in college, before reality hits and you’re cramming in partner logos, fine print, bullet points, and too much copy in too little space.

There’s a reason it everyone loves it though: It works. Timeless. Bold. Simple. Stunning.

In Swissted, designer Mike Joyce reimagines concert posters from the ’70s through the ’90s using a Swiss-style approach. The results are about as close to perfect as you can get.

I got the book a few years ago, obsessed over it for a bit, then set it aside for a while. Only recently did I pull it back out, and I’ve been hanging the tear out posters in my office.'

If you love design and music, this book is a must have.
